Retail REIT Simon has launched a comprehensive revitalization of The Shops at Chestnut Hill, an upscale, two-level enclosed shopping center in the Chestnut Hill area of Newton, MA. Work began in early summer, with the majority of the project expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The project will enhance virtually every aspect of the center, according to Simon. Upgrades include a full repainting of the interior, a new lighting system that will brighten the main concourse, fresh artwork and decor throughout the center, a refreshed indoor garden area, enhanced handrails, new flooring, significant upgrades to facades at two main entrances and upgraded restrooms.
“With these upgrades in place, The Shops at Chestnut Hill will feature a look and feel that matches the outstanding quality of our retailers, restaurants and amenities,” said Laura Schwartz, regional VP – leasing at Simon. “We will be well-positioned to welcome new shoppers and brands for years to come.”
