A Baytown movie house is transforming into a movie theater, and a lot more. Hooky Entertainment will debut its new concept next month, where the Showbiz Cinemas Baytown once thrived at 10550 Interstate 10 Service Road. The 73,000-square-foot entertainment venue will include a cinema, a bowling alley, an arcade, two virtual dart bays, and private event spaces.
The project adds 6,800 square feet of additional space for games and restrooms.
EVOke Design + Architecture is the design firm. Rise Collective LLC is the general contractor for the expansions.
In addition to the cinema’s 10 theaters — including one Imax screen — Hooky’s Baytown location also will feature an 8,000-square-foot arcade with classic games and interactive experiences, 14 full-length bowling lanes and an LED TV wall display.
The venue will offer a full-service bar and shareable menu options.
Hooky now has eight open locations in Texas, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida.Â
