Honda’s announcement in July 2025 that it would be bringing the Prelude nameplate back after over 20 years on the sidelines made waves, as did the fact that it would feature a hybrid powertrain. The new vehicle went on sale in Japan in early September, with the US-spec machine set to be unleashed sometime in Fall 2025. With so few affordable hybrid models on the market that are actually cool, gearheads are waiting with bated breath to see how the Honda Prelude stacks up.
