Finding a true time capsule on the used car market is rare, but every so often something interesting surfaces. This 1995 Buick Park Avenue might not be the flashiest name in collectors’ circles, yet with mileage that barely scratches the break-in point, it’s one of the cleanest examples we’ve come across.
Priced at nearly $10,000, it may not be a bargain, but for anyone nostalgic for the 1990s and in search of an easygoing cruiser, it’s a tempting curiosity.
Buick built the first-generation Park Avenue between 1990 and 1996, selling more than 400,000 along the way. The name itself had already been around for years, first appearing in 1975 as an option package on the Electra 225 Limited, then moving up to trim-level status in 1978 before finally becoming a standalone model.
Big sedans like this aren’t so common as they once were, since pretty much everyone wants to buy an SUV nowadays. However, there’s no denying the cool factor of a well-preserved Park Avenue like this one.

Listed for sale on Craigslist near O’Fallon, Missouri, this Park Avenue is equipped with the Grand Touring package and has covered just 14,294 miles (23,003 km). Perhaps more impressive than the car’s low mileage is the fact that it has only ever had one owner and has been garaged most of its life. This helps to explain why it looks to be in such good condition.
The bodywork is painted in a shade of dark metallic green that still sparkles under the sun. It also continues to rock the original chrome accents on the grille, front and rear bumpers, and on the tailgate. The positioning of a spare wheel on the rear does look a little weird, but it adds to the classic appeal of the car.
A look at the original window sticker shows the Grand Avenue carried a price of $32,549, which translates to more than $69,000 today when adjusted for inflation. That was a substantial amount of money back in the day, but the Buick did feature numerous luxurious elements, including wooden trim throughout the interior and seats that resembled lounge chairs.
