Tinci Minerals plans to build a manufacturing plant near Baytown. The Chinese battery company plans to spend over $100 million on the facility in the TGS Cedar Port Industrial plant. The Houston Business Journal reports that the 43,358-square-foot manufacturing plant at 2700 FM 1405 will consist of an electrolyte production facility with warehouse space, an office and lab building, a loading and unloading station, a tank farm and guard houses, per the TDLR filing.
Construction is slated to start in March 2026 and be completed in March 2027.
The 15,000-acre TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park has more than 25 million square feet of industrial and manufacturing warehouses, over 4 million square feet of which are owned by TGS Cedar Port Partners. Some other users include Niagara Bottling, Floor & Décor and Ikea, whose two warehouses were bought by Atlanta-based real estate investment company MDH Partners last year.
