Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari has a long history of building unique cars for its customers, and the latest product to come from the brand’s Special Projects division has its sights set squarely on that heritage. The one-off Ferrari SC40, which is based on the 296 GTB, is a stylish tribute to the F40 supercar from 1987, but that said, purists may be a little concerned with the powertrain. Although the modern 296 boasts two turbochargers, just like the F40, they push air into only six cylinders – not the screaming V8 the Rad-era supercar is known for.
