Commissioned through Rolls-Royce’s Private Office in Dubai as a gift from a client to his father, this one-of-a-kind Phantom, known as the Phantom Dentelle, takes its design cues from an unexpected source: a piece of couture lace. While the exterior is graceful and refined, it’s the interior that turns this model into something truly extraordinary.
Intricate Stitching, Impressive Detail
The exotic sedan’s dashboard features a one-off piece of embroidery depicting several different flowers and is made up of three different shades and types of thread. At a glance, the panel might seem small, but it’s composed of more than 160,000 individual stitches. Rolls-Royce didn’t stop there.
A similar floral theme has been stitched into the ‘Waterfall’ section between the rear seats. This area has roughly 70,000 stitches. Complementing these unique touches are Rose Gold speaker grilles, Piano White veneer, and a combination of Sunrise and Grace White leathers.
An Exterior To Match
The outside of the Phantom is subtle and classy, just like a Rolls-Royce should be. The lower part of the body is painted in Crystal over Arctic White, while the upper part is painted in Crystal over Palais Nemasker Dawn. Perhaps the finest feature of the car is the 22-inch polished disc-style wheels with Arctic White center pinstripes and body-colored centers. Both the Spirit of Ecstasy and Pantheon Grille are also painted in Rose Gold.
Michelle Lusby of Rolls-Royce’s Private Office in Dubai shared her perspective on the design process: “We always say that inspiration for a motor car commission can be found anywhere, and after more than two decades, our clients constantly prove how true this is. This stunning Phantom Dentelle, commissioned through Private Office Dubai, is an homage to the exquisite handmade lace used in some of the world’s leading haute couture ateliers.”
So, if you have the money and want a special Phantom like this, you’d be wise to book a flight to one of the Rolls-Royce Private Office facilities in the UK, Dubai, Shanghai, New York City, or Seoul.
