Adolfson & Peterson Construction has been selected by retail real estate investment firm Asana Partners to renovate the former Oak Lawn Design Plaza in the Dallas Design District. The $27 million project will repurpose the 1970s-built, nine-acre parcel at 1444 Oak Lawn Ave.—now named The Seam—into high-end retail, wellness and food offerings set in an open-air environment. Adolfson & Peterson Construction launched construction in March 2025; completion is anticipated within 12 months. Morris Adjmi Architects (MA) is the Design Architect with GFF Design serving as the Architect of Record. Adolfson & Peterson Construction will handle all aspects of The Seam’s construction, including staging and phasing the work.
Upon completing all upgrades, The Seam will provide nearly 50 spaces for retail, restaurants, wellness providers and showrooms.
