Audi has been tinkering with V8 engines since the early days of the automobile, but it’d be nearly the 90s before their famous four-door high-performance flagship, simply dubbed the Audi V8, would arrive. With it, the automaker boldly combined its Quattro AWD system with an innovative lightweight V8 engine for the first time – but definitely not the last.
