Struggling Austrian motorcycle and powersports manufacturer KTM just received an additional ray of hope by way of an unlikely source. KTM Sportcar GmbH, manufacturers of the Audi RS3–powered X-Bow track rat, will reportedly be acquired by a business conglomerate led by the de Mevius family of Belgium, which is most famous for co-founding AB InBev. The world’s largest beer brewing company currently has a number of brands under its umbrella, including Budweiser, Stella Artois, Foster’s, and Corona, and if all goes well with the sale, the De Mevius family will be able to enjoy the KTM X-Bow – though hopefully not at the same time as those other products.
