
Maxx Properties recently paid $70 million for the Bell at Plantation apartments and renamed them the Ellery. A Bell Partners Fund sold the 250 apartments at 6901 W. Sunrise Blvd. CBRE Multifamily Capital provided a $55.1 million mortgage to the buyer.
The S. Florida Business Journal reports the property last traded for $67.25 million in 2018, when they were new.
Situated on a 10.2-acre site, the Ellery features a pool, a fitness center, a clubhouse and a playground. According to Apartments.com, units range from 720 to 1,354 square feet and rent from $1,980 to $2,779.
In 2024, Maxx Properties acquired an apartment complex in Wilton Manors for $46.6 million.
Since 2006, Bell Partners has closed nine funds with total equity commitments of $3.5 billion that have been launched and substantially invested on behalf of institutional and high-net-worth investors. As of March 2026, the Company oversees an investment management portfolio totaling approximately $10 billion in gross asset value.
