Bentley has issued a recall for select 2025 and 2026 Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur models after identifying a potential fire risk linked to the fuel system. The recall affects just 17 vehicles in the United States, underscoring how even limited-production luxury cars are not immune to manufacturing flaws.
According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue involves improperly torqued bolts on the high-pressure fuel pump of Bentley’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, the same EA825 unit supplied by Porsche. If the bolts loosen, they can cause internal damage or a fuel leak, potentially leading to an engine-bay fire.
Bentley said it was notified of the defect by Porsche in early September and quickly launched its own investigation. The automaker has since corrected the assembly process for all new engines built after August 2025.

The recall affects Continental and Flying Spur vehicles built between July 16, 2024, and August 20, 2025. Bentley dealers will inspect the four bolts that secure the high-pressure fuel pump and verify proper torque. If the torque value is below specification, technicians will replace the pump and surrounding components at no cost to the owner.
Notifications are scheduled to go out by October 27, 2025, and repairs should take less than two hours. The recall has been logged as campaign number RE25/41 and NHTSA recall 25V648.
Although the number of affected cars is small, any issue involving the fuel system is taken seriously. With models that can exceed $300,000, even a minor safety concern can dent the brand’s image.
