The notion of an electric station wagon is quite a peculiar mix of new and old ideas, but nothing says cutting edge like a modernized retro classic. Minivans replaced station wagons back in the 80s, and many people have all but forgotten about them now that SUVs and crossovers are dominating the scene. However, the rise of electric cars has seen a significant improvement in fuel economy figures, which was always the bane of the cumbersome body type. EV station wagons may very well be the lifeline for the once-beloved vehicles, though at present, only one automaker seems bold enough to bet on the dark horse.
