When it comes to electric vehicles, BMW has done things differently than its German rivals. For one, it has sold a lot more of them, and that’s largely thanks to one of the other things, which is that its electric models largely resemble its gas cars. Even the EV-only iX isn’t that far removed from BMW’s ICE vehicle styling. What might be the biggest, though, is that BMW has resolutely refused to announce a date when it will stop building (or developing) new combustion-powered models to switch to fully electric (and alternative fuels like hydrogen).
