The town is booming, and Buckeye shows no signs of slowing down. The population in Buckeye spiked by nearly 80% from 2010 to 2020, growing from about 50,000 residents to 91,500 within that time.
The Phoenix Business Journal reports Ward Real Estate & Development is developing a $270 million community called Coyote Crest. The plan calls for 901 rental units in all, including 456 traditional garden-style apartments, 170 duplex-style apartments, 170 duplex townhomes, and 275 detached build-to-rent cottages.
The 64-acre parcel is at the southwest corner of Roosevelt Street and Rainbow Road.
The project will be gated and will have separate entrances and signage for each of its distinct products: The Cottages at Coyote Crest Community, The Townhomes at Coyote Crest Community and The Flats at Coyote Crest Community.
The developers expect to break ground by the end of the year on the $270 million development and be ready for leasing by April 2027.
