BMO Bank provided a $73.5 million construction loan to a joint venture of Butters and Jon Channing to build The District, a 500,000 square foot industrial project in Boynton Beach. The S. Florida Business Journal reports the team assembled various adjacent properties for $29.75 million in 2024. The JV was then able to change zoning from agriculture to commerce center. It will feature seven buildings, ranging from 20,000 to 125,483 square feet. The site also has approval for a 140,000-square-foot self-storage facility.
American Twisters Gymnastics has leased 20,000 square feet, a group leased 26,000 square feet for indoor padel courts, and another protective tenant leased 80,000 square feet for indoor tennis and indoor pickleball.
The project will also have many small bay warehouses as small as 2,500 square feet.
The first buildings in the District should be ready in June 2026.
