- The first example was commissioned by David Gandy, the “most successful male model of all time”.
The classic Mini is one of the most iconic cars of all time, so it’s no surprise that it served as a base for another restomod project. This one was created by Callum in collaboration with Wood and Pickett, featuring modern styling touches and upgraded underpinnings.
The build started with a fully restored Mini MK5 Sports pack body shell, which was the last derivative of the model before production ended in 2001.

Visual modifications include the redesigned front and rear bumper extensions, the wider Wood & Pickett fenders, and new LED headlights and taillights. The special Mini rides on a new set of 13-inch alloy wheels designed by Callum specifically for the project, and is painted in a bespoke Anthracite metal shade.
Inside, the dashboard is inspired by older Wood and Pickett conversions. It features metal switchgear, USB charging ports, and a neatly integrated infotainment display compatible with modern connectivity features. The cabin is covered in Tan Bridge of Weir leather upholstery with a pair of bespoke seats.

Under the tiny hood lies a rebuilt 1.3-liter rally engine with a Stage 3 upgrade. The mill has a performance cylinder head, a twin-point injection, and a retuned ECU, producing 110 hp (82 kW / 112 PS). This is almost double the power of the original, which should make Callum’s Mini feel like a rocket ship. Furthermore, there is a twin-exit exhaust system and a re-engineered manual gearbox sending power to the front axle.

The chassis has also been upgraded for improved handling as well as reduced noise and vibration. Goodies include a new suspension setup and uprated brakes with vented and drilled discs.
The Wood and Pickett Mini by Callum will be hand-built in limited numbers in the UK. Each will feature a great level of personalization, starting from £75,000 ($102,100).
The first example was built for David Gandy. The 45-year-old Englishman is considered the most successful male model of all time, and according to Wikipedia, he is the “highest-grossing male model in history”. Gandy is also an automotive enthusiast and has a sweet spot for classics, with a car collection that includes a Porsche 356, a Mercedes 190 SL, and a Jaguar XK120.
