Cortland added to its Houston portfolio with the acquisition of Wynnewood at Wortham, a 444-unit apartment community in the heart of the Wortham neighborhood. The suburban Harris County community will soon be rebranded Cortland Wortham. This marks Cortland’s third acquisition in Houston within the last year, expanding its portfolio to include 13 assets in Houston, as a part of 60 properties comprising nearly 22,000 units across Texas.Â
The apartment homes offer floor plans ranging from one to three bedrooms. The community amenities include a clubhouse, leasing center, fitness center, business center, two pools, two dog parks, a car wash station and multiple grills.Â
Cortland is planning several interior renovations to the property, including comprehensive updates to the apartment homes and the amenities. Cortland also plans to upgrade the community’s exterior areas with a new paint scheme, updates to landscaping and new roofs. The upgrades are expected to be completed within two years.Â
