Community leaders, investors, representatives from Goldman Sachs, and Kōz partners, team members, recently celebrated the grand opening of Kōz Uptown, a new, 169-unit Seattle apartment community located in the Lower Queen Anne, Uptown neighborhood.
The official opening of the development will provide affordable housing for the local workforce. Kōz Uptown was developed by Kōz Development, with investment from MSquared, a New York-based, women-led equity firm, and local investors, as well as a loan from The Urban Investment Group at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. The construction of the building was led by Kirtley Cole. Cushman & Wakefield’s team, led by Chris Moyer, served as Kōz advisors.
“This investment falls right in line with our philosophy to build high-quality housing that offers access to transit, jobs, and essential resources,” Alicia Glen, Founder & Managing Principal of MSquared. “We’re proud to have built on our partnership with Kōz and to continue delivering affordable workforce housing to the Seattle metro area.”
