In the world of ultra-luxury automobiles, a few names stand out, like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Maybach by Mercedes-Benz. Now, a Dutch coachbuilder just did what Packard couldn’t and brought it back to life, but only as a one-off. Talk about exclusivity. Introducing the one-and-only Packard Excellence, a stunning embodiment of European craftsmanship bearing the prestigious American luxury label.
Packard’s Golden Age Reimagined
Some may say it was a bold statement, but JB Classic & Bespoke decided to bring back Detroit’s luxury era by resurrecting the Packard Excellence. The Dutch firm is renowned for restoring classic vehicles and wanted to honor the Facel-Vega-Packard Excellence, which led to the Packard Excellence. The luxury vehicle is based on the underpinnings of the second-generation Bentley Flying Spur, which was available in the market from 2013 to 2019. JB Classic & Bespoke has yet to disclose whether the Packard Excellence is powered by Bentley’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 or the more potent twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine.
JB Classic & Bespoke had a simple plan — to create the Packard Excellence with a limitless budget. According to the Dutch classic car restorer, the company invested around 17,000 hours. This is also the first-ever Packard to be designed and engineered by a Dutch corporation, CinovarA.
Where Timeless Elegance Meets Modern Artistry
The retractable “Goddess of Speed” emblem.
A glance reveals that the Packard Excellence is inspired by Bentley’s distinctive styling ethos with its exterior and interior design. The Excellence features a striking all-chrome front fascia with three grilles and vertically stacked LED headlights, evoking Cadillac’s classic era and providing a unique road presence. JB Classic & Bespoke revives the spirit of Packard with a retractable “Goddess of Speed” emblem. The side profile bears a resemblance to a Rolls-Royce, showcasing distinctive suicide doors equipped with stainless steel hinges and handcrafted handles.
At the rear, the boxy design is complemented by C-shaped LED taillights and the iconic Packard emblem. This stunning creation embodies the timeless elegance of the 1950s Facel Vega Excellence legacy. JB Classic & Bespoke has not disclosed the price of this unique Packard Excellence, but this collector’s luxury vehicle is anticipated to come with a significant price tag.Â
