Edens owns two adjacent Buckhead properties and jumped at the chance to buy a third. It acquired Pearson’s Corner for $8.7 million, or $580 a square foot. Following its latest acquisition, the retail giant can now boast its ownership of a mixed-use project.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Pearson’s Corner, located at 3072 Early Street NW, is directly next to two Buckhead properties that Edens purchased in 2012 for a combined $40 million. Those buildings on W. Paces Ferry Road include Whole Foods, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and Velvet Taco as tenants.
Pearson’s Corner sits on a less than half an acre and houses roughly 15,000 square feet of space, 8,000 of which is devoted to a second-story office currently occupied by Embark Behavioral Health.
The Loudermilk Cos. sold Pearson’s Corner, which they had owned since 2013. The building was built in 1975 and renovated in 2015.
