While Emerson Electric has its 305,000-square-foot Round Rock local headquarters up for sale, the company still plans to maintain a presence in the Austin area. The Austin Business Journal reports the company plans to consolidate its real estate portfolio while it moves employees to the National Instruments campus near The Domain in North Austin. Employees in Round Rock are relocating in phases as renovations to the North Austin campus are completed.
The current 14-acre campus, completed in 2014, includes two five-story office buildings, 1,000 structured and surface parking spaces and 5.4 acres for further development.
Matt Mathias and Michael Levy with Mathias Partners are facilitating the sale of the property. No listing price was included.
Emerson has been in the Austin area since the 1980s. The company has operated at the Round Rock campus for nearly 12 years. Emerson reported more than 1,400 employees in the Austin area.
