It looks like Ford’s planned $3 billion Michigan electric vehicle battery plant will still qualify for tax credits despite the winds of change in Washington. While the GOP’s new sweeping tax and budget legislation killed federal tax credits that have stimulated the adoption of all-electric vehicles among consumers, it didn’t penalize the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries in the US.
