Genesis has done everything backwards since the luxury division first spun off from Hyundai so many years ago. It launched with a sedan at a time when sedans were being killed en masse for SUVs. It followed up with another sedan, then another, and finally we got the GV80 SUV in 2020 – four years after the company’s birth.
