GMC is known for a lineup dedicated exclusively to SUVs and pickup trucks. While sharing some parts and select platforms with other GM brands like Chevrolet, GMC’s brand identity has made it uniquely stand out with its robust truck character paired with potent V8 engines that offer enormous pulling power for off-road or utility use. GMC is still aiming to push this background, even among new industry trends and experimentation – more recently, by incorporating electrified powertrains within pickup trucks, as this new segment develops in the market.
