In April, General Motors issued a massive recall for problems with its L87 6.2-liter V8 truck engines. Nearly 600,000 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Sierra, and Cadillac Escalade vehicles from 2021-2024 were affected, with tens of thousands of those trucks expected to need a brand-new engine. Naturally, there have been filings for class action lawsuits, but the latest is for a reason that GM might not have anticipated.
