It’s not uncommon to look at the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R as the same car. Or rather, to assume that they’re the same but the one just as has a cosmetic package. I mean, they roll off the same production line, the exterior design is similar, and they both cater to the hot hatch market. But once you spend more than a few minutes in their company, it’s clear that there are very distinct differences between the Golf R vs GTI.
