The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel, located at 100 Villita St., across from the Bexar County Courthouse, has been put up for sale for $20.75 million. Warwick Prestige Hotels LLC currently owns the 6-story, 129-room hotel. The property features a heated pool, fitness center, a restaurant (The Gavel), and a leased coffee shop (Niche Coffee).
The San Antonio Report adds that the company bought the hotel in 2015 from La Villita Motor Inn. Warwick secured a $7.22 million loan from Texas Capital Bank in 2017, which was later increased to $8.3 million in 2019. The original $4.1 million from Mercantile Capital used for the acquisition was fully repaid in 2016.Â
The National Park Service approved the current ownership in October to seek historic tax incentives. The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel’s current structure was built in 1968 and renovated in 2011.
Marcus & Millichap’s Allan Miller is handling the hotel listing.Â
