DMG MORI Federal Services, Inc., a global supplier of metal-cutting machine tools, will invest more than $40.5 million to expand the company’s footprint in Illinois, establishing a new advanced manufacturing and R&D facility in the Chicagoland area and creating 74 new full-time jobs.
DMG MORI, a leading global manufacturer of high-precision machine tools headquartered in Hoffman Estates, has identified a site with 25,000 square feet of office space and 65,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing space to support the company’s growth. Construction on the Goose Island facility is expected to begin soon, and DMG MORI plans to open the facility in 2026.
This new facility will serve as the center for the company’s North American R&D operations. “Here in Illinois, we’ve built a dynamic business environment that attracts new companies and sustained investments,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “DMG MORI’s expansion will serve as an important example of this exciting new economic era for our state.”
