Even though it’s getting on in years, we still don’t really have any complaints about the Mazda MX-5 Miata. It’s still one of the most fun sports cars you can buy for any price, and that price is still quite reasonable. One of our only issues was addressed a few years ago when Mazda introduced a higher-revving, higher-output version of its 2.0-liter four-cylinder. However, there’s still something that we’d like to see addressed: the color palate. For this entire generation, with the exception of a searingly orange special edition, the Miata has been offered in a very dull range of hues. Apparently we’re not the only ones to have this complaint, since a group of dealers in Japan decided to do what Mazda hasn’t, and create a metallic green Miata.
