Walker Youngbird Foundation—Emerging Native Arts GrantFeatured
This grant supports early-career Native artists who are honoring tradition while shaping the future of contemporary Indigenous art. Awarded twice annually, the $15,000 grant provides funding, mentorship, and a curated showcase to artists at a critical stage in their development.
Open to Indigenous artists across the U.S., its territories, and Canada, the grant supports the completion of a proposed project and can be used toward studio practice, exhibitions, research, or creative exploration. Eligible disciplines include 2D and 3D visual arts, time-based media, multi-disciplinary arts, and contemporary takes on traditional arts.

Open Call: In Focus (International)
Black-and-white photography reveals the essential in this exhibition at Yellow Studio. From intimate portraits to sweeping landscapes, detailed abstracts to candid street scenes, In Focus brings together women artists who embrace the sophisticated elegance and enduring appeal of black and white photography. Yellow Studio invites photographers to submit their black-and-white work that demonstrates the enduring power of light, shadow, and composition to move and inspire. There is a $25 submission fee.

16th Epson International Pano Awards (International)
This panoramic photography contest is open for entries and offering more than $50,000 in cash and prizes. There is an $18 entry fee.

Locust Projects Open Call (International)
This open call is for proposals for new, installation-based work of any medium that has never been presented and is specifically designed for the Project Room. Artists receive a $5,000 materials budget, $3,100 artist fee, and lodging and travel.
Deadline: July 28, 2025.
The Abbey Harris Mural Fund (U.K.)
This grant supports artists in the creation of semi-permanent or permanent public murals or site-specific works on walls in any medium. Funding of up to £7,000 is available for an artist or organization producing a public mural in the U.K.

Grants
Queer | Art Illuminations Grant (U.S.)
This $10,000 grant is designed to highlight an existing body of work by a Black trans woman visual artist. Four finalists will also receive $1,250.

21C Artadia Award (St. Louis)
Launched in Louisville in 2021, the 21c Artadia Award marked the beginning of a long-term partnership, which annually provides $15,000 in unrestricted funds to one artist living and working in the unique creative communities where 21c Museum Hotels are located. This year’s award is open to artists based in St. Louis.

AXS Film Fund (International)
Each year, the AXS Film Fund awards up to five creators with grants up to $10,000 to assist in completing projects at any stage of production. The program is for creators in documentary filmmaking or nonfiction new media who identify as living with a disability, particularly those from underserved communities. All filmmakers may apply regardless of background.

Ellis-Beauregard 2025 Project Grants (Maine)
The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation is offering five $10,000 project grants for Maine artists working in all genres.

Liu Shiming Art Foundation’s Artist Grants (International)
Each year, the Liu Shiming Art Foundation selects up to five artists to receive a $5,000 grant. Visual artists working for at least two years (but not more than 10) are invited to apply for support for a current or new project.
Deadline: August 21, 2025.
Vital Impacts Environmental Photography Grant 2025 (International)
Vital Impacts offers one $20,000 grant to an established environmental photographer, along with six $5,000 grants to emerging photographers from around the world. These funds are specifically earmarked for the development of documentary projects focusing on environmental stories.
Deadline: September 15, 2025.
Craft Research Fund Grant (U.S.)
The Center for Craft awards grants from $5,000 to $15,000 annually to support new and interdisciplinary research.

The Adolf and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant (International)
This program provides one-time financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs resulted from an unforeseen catastrophic incident and who lack the resources to meet that situation. Awardees typically receive $5,000, up to $15,000.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund (Ukraine)
This fund commissions visual artists to create company projects on a rolling basis. Awardees will receive between $500 and $5,000.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (International)
The foundation welcomes applications from painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper, including printmakers. Grants are intended for one year and range up to $50,000. The artist’s circumstances determine the size of the grant, and professional exhibition history will be considered.

Residencies, Fellowships, & More
Peters Valley School of Craft Residency (International)
This program is open to artists working in blacksmithing, ceramics, fibers, jewelry and fine metals, wood, and printmaking. Residents spend two weeks or one month in fully equipped studios, receive a $500 or $1,000 stipend, and are offered housing. There is a $10 application fee.

Penland School of Craft (International)
Professional craft artists at pivotal moments in their creative practices or careers are eligible for one-year project residencies or three-year career transition residencies. Housing and studio space are provided.
Deadline: July 2, 2025.
The Jim Henson Foundation Puppetry Residency (U.S./International)
The Jim Henson Foundation and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center partner for this annual residency, providing space and support to an artist/company working on the final stages of a new work of puppet theater. Residencies are two to three weeks and can support up to 12 participants. Projects must take place in the U.S., and the lead artist must be American, but international applications are welcome. In addition to the residency, artists will receive a $5,000 grant to help cover expenses.

Women’s Studio Workshop Artist’s Book Residency Grant (International)
The Artist’s Book Grant is an eight- to ten-week residency for artists to produce a limited-edition book work. The grant includes a stipend of $350 per week, up to $1,000 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the continental U.S., free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access.

Polar STEAM Antarctic Artists & Writers Program (International)
This program embeds artists and writers within a science team during deployment in Antarctica or the Southern Ocean for the 2026 to 2027 summer season. Chosen applicants receive a $2,000 stipend.

Ucross Residency (International)
Open to emerging and established visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary artists, performance artists, and collaborative teams, this program offers a $1,500 stipend, accommodations, meals, a private work space, and uninterrupted time.

The Kyoto Retreat (International)
Artists, curators, and writers are eligible for this four-week retreat in Kyoto for research, exploration, and inspiration. Chosen applicants receive a round-trip flight, a private bedroom, and $800 to supplement meals and local transportation.

Loghaven Artist Residencies (International)
Located on 90 acres of woodland in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loghaven Artist Residency provides artists with a transformative experience and continued post-residency support. Artists must be at least 21 years old and live more than 120 miles away from Knoxville. There is a $25 application fee.

Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum Glass Box Residency (International)
This residency provides space and time for artists to experiment, explore, and produce works in any medium. Residents receive housing and an honorarium in addition to reimbursement for travel, mileage, and meal expenses. Supplies and materials for workshops, classes, and outreach will be covered by the Woodson Art Museum. Artists have 24/7 access to the Museum’s Glass Box Studio throughout their residence. There is a $25 application fee.

2026 Grand Canyon Artist in Residence (International)
Hosted at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, this program is open to artists who utilize contemporary, interactive, immersive, and/or socially engaged methods and focus on climate resiliency, environmental sciences, natural and cultural histories, and historical interpretation and preservation. Residents receive lodging, a $750 weekly stipend, a $250 travel stipend, and up to $300 for supplies. There is a $25 entry fee.

First Peoples Fund 2026 Cultural Capital Fellowship (U.S.)
This fellowship offers $10,000 grants to artists and culture bearers dedicated to community outreach and cultural preservation through the arts. All applicants must be active within and connected to their Native or Tribal community.
Deadline: 7 p.m. MT on July 16, 2025.
Full Color Printmaking Fellowship (Minnesota)
Selected artists receive a year’s membership to Highpoint Center for Printmaking’s cooperative print shop, free access to classes and workshops, a $500 stipend, mentorship, professional development opportunities, and exhibition opportunities. This fellowship is for Minnesota artists from BIPOC communities.

Bemis Center Autumn Residencies (International)
Selected artists-in-residence enjoy generously sized, private live/work studios in Omaha, a $1,250 monthly stipend, and a $750 travel stipend. Due to the limitations of B2 visas (touring/visiting), international artists-in-residence are ineligible for direct stipend payment but are eligible to receive reimbursement up to the total stipend amount of qualified expenses, such as airfare, ground transportation, and meals.

ON::VIEW Artist Residency Program (International)
Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high-visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, continue an in-progress endeavor, or conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. There is a $50 application fee.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. EST on September 21, 2025.
Culinary Artist in Residency at Ox-Bow (International)
This program is open to anyone using food as material for creative practice and takes place in two parts: a 10-day stay in winter and a public program in summer. Residents receive lodging, a $350 travel stipend, a $200 materials budget, and a $1,500 artist fee.
