In the busy compact crossover segment, the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V lead the way on the sales charts, but there are flashier rivals if you’re not loyal to one of the Japanese brands. One of them is the Kia Sportage, which was updated for the 2026 model year with a refined design, new interior displays, and a new Terrain Mode for the off-road trims.
If you want a new 2026 Sportage, Kia has four lease deals running this month on the base LX. Already one of the more affordable options in its class, these Kia Sportage lease offers make it even simpler to get behind the wheel of the stylish crossover.

This Month’s Kia Sportage Lease Deals

Kia
The 2026 Kia Sportage’s lease price starts at $239 per month over 24 months, with $3,999 due at signing. This applies to the base LX with front-wheel drive and excludes tax, title, licensing, and registration. This offer includes 10,000 miles per year, but you’ll be liable for a cost of $0.20 per mile for exceeding this limit. To qualify, lessees must take delivery by December 1, 2025.
There are three other lease deals for the Kia Sportage this month, each differing by monthly cost and/or drivetrain, as all-wheel-drive models cost more. Here’s a comparison of all the deals.
These deals are specific to California, so be sure to check area-specific Sportage deals on Kia’s website, as they may differ depending on where you live.
If you’d prefer to buy a new Kia Sportage, here are prices for the 2026 non-hybrid models:
- LX: $28,690
- EX: $30,490
- X-Line: $32,990
- SX: $34,290
- SX Prestige: $36,290
- X-Pro Prestige: $39,590
The Sportage is cheaper than the all-new Toyota RAV4, which now starts at $31,900. However, the RAV4 comes with a more powerful hybrid powertrain as standard.

Powertrain and Features

K
All non-hybrid Sportages have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. FWD is standard and AWD optional, while all trims have an eight-speed automatic. It’s a powertrain that delivers rather disappointing acceleration; you’ll need to upgrade to one of the pricier hybrids if you’re after better performance. We found the Sportage to have a pleasingly comfortable ride, though.

Kia
The base LX eschews some of the best features to keep its price low, so misses out on things like LED fog lights, power-folding mirrors, power front seats, a leather-wrapped shift knob, or the nicer SynTex upholstery of upper trims. It does come with the following standard items, though:
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Air conditioning
- 12.3-inch touchscreen
- Six-speaker sound system
- Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
- Smart cruise control
- High-beam assist
- Lane following assist
- Front/rear parking sensors
An $800 Convenience Package for the LX can be specified, which still keeps the price under $30k. This adds a 10-way power driver’s seat, blind-spot collision warning, and heated front seats, among other items.

Final Thoughts

K
Kia has done a fantastic job of paying as much attention to the design of its cheaper models as its pricier ones. For under $30k, the Sportage looks stylish outside and high-tech inside, and it has a decent number of safety features. The main disappointment is the standard engine, which doesn’t do the rest of the package justice. Still, not everyone in this segment is looking for tire-shredding power.
Leasing a 2026 Kia Sportage is even cheaper than leasing the outgoing 2025 RAV4, so we believe this is a great deal. If you buy one and plan on keeping it for a long time, you’ll also benefit from Kia’s class-leading warranty.
