Lambda Alpha International (LAI) San Diego, the local chapter of the international land economics society, hosted its 48th Annual Crystal Globe Gala recently at Herb & Wood in San Diego, celebrating leadership,
professional excellence and lasting contributions to the region’s built environment.
The annual gala marked several significant milestones for the chapter, including the formal installation of the 2026 Board of Directors, the induction of its newest class of members, and the presentation of the Crystal Globe Award to land-use attorney Paul Robinson of Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP.
During the evening’s program, LAI San Diego formally installed its 2026 Board of Directors and inducted
its newest members. The 2026 inductees include

“Welcoming a new class of members is always one of the most meaningful moments of the year for our
chapter,” said LAI San Diego Board President Penny Maus. “Each of these individuals brings a unique
perspective and a strong commitment to shaping the built environment in our region, and we are proud
to have them join LAI San Diego.”
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Crystal Globe Award to Attorney Paul Robinson, recognizing a lifetime of exceptional leadership and contributions to land use, development, and public policy in San Diego. The evening included tributes to Robinson from former Governor Pete Wilson, San
Diego City Councilmember Raul Campillo, Betsy Brennan, CEO of the Downtown San Diego Partnership, and San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk Jordan Marks, Esq.
