Lexus, Nissan Buyers Happiest With Their New Cars, Ram Buyers No So Much

The latest word from J.D. Power and Associates on new car quality reveals some big surprises. Nissan takes the top spot as the best-scoring mainstream brand in the 2025 US Initial Quality Study and garners awards for the Sentra and Altima. Lexus was best overall, but Ram fell hard – dropping from the highest-ranking automaker last year to nearly the bottom in 2025.
