- Lexus has introduced the 2026 GX, which carries over.
- While nothing changes, pricing has climbed by $750.
- SUV features a twin-turbo V6 with 349 hp and 479 lb-ft.
The redesigned Lexus GX has proven to be a hit with consumers as year-to-date sales are up an impressive 35.7%. With 28,244 units sold in the first nine months of the year, the luxury SUV is nearly outselling the ES.
The model is now rolling into 2026, but there aren’t any changes this time around. That’s a tad surprising as even the 2025 GX received a handful of minor updates including a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column and a 1-inch (25 mm) lift on Overtrail variants.

While equipment and styling carries over, pricing starts at $66,935. That’s up from $66,185 and the cost includes a $1,450 destination fee, which is the same as last year.
The $750 price hike is across the board and is pretty significant. Tariffs are likely to blame as the GX is imported from the company’s Tahara plant in Japan.
Since everything carries over, we’ll briefly remind you the GX comes nicely equipped with LED headlights, a power liftgate, and a moonroof. Buyers will also find 20-inch wheels and a tow hitch capable of hauling up to 9,096 lbs (4,126 kg).
The upscale interior sports a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch infotainment system. They’re joined by a leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as heated and ventilated NuLuxe front seats. Rounding out the highlights are an ambient lighting system and a ten-speaker audio system.
The GX comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems. It includes Full-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
The model also has Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking.
A twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 resides under the hood, where it produces 349 hp (260 kW / 354 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.
This setup enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h). Drivers can also expect to get 15 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.
