The Lexus TX has quickly established itself as the brand’s third best-selling vehicle as customers have been drawn to its combination of space and refinement. The model is now entering its third model year with a handful of minor updates.
The changes largely fly under the radar as customers will find a new Matador Red Mica paint job on non-F Sport models. The range-topping TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid also becomes more luxurious as it now comes with a panoramic glass roof.
Review: The Lexus TX Picks Up Where The RX L Left Off
That appears to be the extent of the changes, but pricing has gone up. The entry-level TX 350 climbs from $56,590 to $57,090, while the TX 500h also jumps $500 to begin at $70,610. Lastly, the TX 550h+ climbs $2,300 to $80,960 and that increase can likely be explained by the new glass roof.
While changes are minor, the 2026 Lexus TX lineup is extensive as it includes seven trims and three powertrains. The latter include a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS) and 317 lb-ft (429 Nm) of torque.
Customers can also get the TX 500h, which has a hybridized powertrain that consists of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, a rear eAxle, and a small nickel metal hydride battery. This setup gives the all-wheel drive crossover a combined output of 366 hp (273 kW / 371 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.
Lastly, there’s the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid. It has a 3.5-liter V6, two electric motors, and an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. They give the model a combined output of 404 hp (301 kW / 410 PS) and an electric-only range of 33 miles (53 km).
Since most things carryover, we’ll briefly mention the entry-level TX 350 comes nicely equipped with LED lighting units, a power liftgate, and 20-inch wheels. Customers will also find a seven-seat interior sporting a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. They’re joined by a heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, and a 12-speaker audio system. Rounding out the highlights are an ambient lighting system and a wireless smartphone charger.
On the safety front, there’s the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. There’s also Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
