Mercedes-Benz Has Its Own Counterfeit-Fighting Department

In 2023, ICE seized approximately 20,000 shipments containing counterfeit goods, valued at roughly $2.75 billion if genuine, with around 100,000 counterfeit products in those shipments being counterfeit automotive products. Counterfeit parts are a growing issue, not just for automotive manufacturers, but also for the customers who buy those parts.
