Mission Development Group and CLX Ventures have started construction on Aspire at Vida, a 300-unit apartment community located on Jaguar Boulevard across from the Texas A&M-San Antonio campus.
The project will include four 3-story buildings on 12 acres within the 600-acre Vida master-planned community developed by Southstar. Plans call for one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
Community amenities include a resort-style pool, clubhouse, lounge, business center, cornhole arena, sand volleyball court, game and arts/crafts room, dog park, bike racks, playground, gazebo with grills, and pet stations. The community is scheduled to open next February.
The South Side accounted for about 45% of residential permits approved last year, with many clustered around the university campus and nearby employment hubs.
In addition to Toyota’s continued investment, British equipment manufacturer JCB’s North American headquarters is also under construction on the South Side.
