
NewMark Merrill Companies, Inc., in partnership with World Premier Investments and R.Y. Properties, Inc. has received entitlements to develop Desert Sky Plaza II, a 30-acre, 297,363-square-foot shopping center in Victorville. Groundbreaking is slated for the second quarter of 2026, with the opening planned for fall 2027.
Designed by Architects Orange and Kimley Horn, Desert Sky Plaza II will be the second phase of the existing Home Depot-anchored Desert Sky Plaza. This new phase will be anchored by Target, Burlington and other soft goods retailers.
The NewMark Merrill development team includes Sandy Sigal, chairman and CEO; Susan Rorison, COO; Jim Patton, SVP of leasing & acquisitions; Sandra Kist, CFO; Brad Pearl, EVP; Luca Giovanardi, chief development officer; Greg Giacopuzzi, VP, leasing and development; and Elaine Weiss, senior project manager, construction & development.
