The developer helming the $445 million overhaul of Cityplace Tower in Dallas into a mixed-use development says things are moving forward. NexPoint recently unveiled its latest plans for the makeover of Cityplace Tower. In addition to converting some of the existing tower’s office space into residences and hotel rooms, NexPoint also plans to add roughly 465 apartment units in eight six-story apartment buildings in the mostly underdeveloped area around 2711 N. Haskell Ave. It’s expected to be redeveloped in four phases.
The Dallas Business Journal reports NexPoint has received financing proposals for the apartment phase of the redevelopment and expects to select a lender soon, with groundbreaking planned within months. NexPoint is also finalizing hotel concepts with Marriott.
The firm expects to break ground within the next six to nine months. It acquired the 42-story tower on Haskell Avenue in 2018.
