Running from the police is a no-no under any circumstances. Doing so while riding on a motorcycle , in torrential rain, and without basic safety gear only makes things worse, and turns a bad decision into a disastrous one.
Yet that’s precisely what a social media influencer recently did, ending up in the hospital after being struck and run over by police during the chase.
Dramatic video captured by the helmet-mounted camera of DancingMoto, the influencer’s handle, shows him racing down a Georgia highway with at least two police cruisers in pursuit.
In the clip, a silver cruiser moves in front of the bike while another slides alongside. Both begin to slow, boxing him between them, as a white SUV pulls to the roadside.

Rather than jumping on the brakes, the motorcyclist pulls in the clutch and changes down a gear, likely hoping to swerve between the cruisers. However, the police car quickly swerves to the right, knocking him off his bike.
As a result, he slams on the tarmac and, for several seconds, slides on his back down the road. Moments later, one of the police officers steers directly into his path, forcefully knocking him down.

Did Police Go Too Far?
It’s unclear why the popular influencer, who has over a 1 million followers, was being chased by the authorities. While most have been quick to condemn him for not stopping immediately, some have raised concerns about the heavy-handed tactics of the authorities and questioned whether hitting him was legal.
A GoFundMe page has been made for the young rider, stating that the wreck caused him “serious injuries” and that “he’s now fighting for his life.” The page adds that the crash “left him with extensive, life-threatening injuries, and his condition remains uncertain.”
Photos show him with extensive road rash, the result of riding without a protective jacket or even gloves during the chase. Hopefully he makes a full recovery, though it’s likely he’s already come to regret that rash decision not to pull over when he had the chance.
