New-car shoppers love blackout packages, which bundle dark-finished exterior trim and wheels with typically monochromatic interior and paint choices for a sinister look. Porsche will dip a toe in that space with the 2026 Taycan Black Edition, which follows the same tactic as Mercedes-AMG’s Night Edition packages (and, further down the market, Nissan’s Midnight trims). But while some of its contemporaries rely on a cosmetic-only approach, Porsche will give its Black Edition some added standard kit as well. Available on the base Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S sedans, the darkening also includes a bigger battery, 360-degree camera, and more.
