Our Experience
One thing I love even more than dog lover gifts is custom dog lover gifts, and personalized photo collages are some of my favorites. Along with being heartfelt and adorable, nothing beats a collage of your furry friend hanging on the wall for you to look at and for your friends and family to see. Not only that, but they make great gifts to give loved ones for any occasion.
I’ve been wanting a nice framed picture of my dog, Micah, for a while, and after coming across Positive Prints, I fell in love with their Letter Photo Collage. I loved the idea of having Micah’s photos in the letters, and being able to customize every detail seemed like a major plus.
After deciding on a framed poster, I went through the personalization steps to design the print. This was a fun process where I got to choose everything from the layout to the colors (and everything in between). I enjoyed picking out each detail, and it was fun to try out different colors, words, and styles.
I was impressed with how interactive the process was and loved that I could see a preview of the changes in real-time as I was designing it. The interactive preview was great because I could try out different elements and formatting without having to wait until the end to see the finished product.
The hardest part for me was deciding on a word and message, and finding pictures to fit in the letters. I ended up choosing the word “love” and coming up with my own message, but Positive Prints has a variety of themes and templates to choose from if you need a little inspiration.
The pictures were tricky for me to format. I spent a lot of time trying out different photos and switching them around in the letters before I found a few that fit perfectly. A lot of the photos I chose initially didn’t fit well in the letters or cut Micah off in weird spots, so this part was trial and error until I landed on the final four pictures that looked the best.
After placing the order, I received a link where I could track the production of the print until it was shipped and delivered. The turnaround time was pretty fast. I received the frame in just over a week, and it arrived earlier than the estimated tracking date.
Once the order arrived, I was super impressed (this seriously might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!). The print looks exactly like I designed it, and the quality is amazing. The frame is thick and sturdy, and it comes with four hooks on the back for you to hang on the wall (no extra hardware needed). The pictures came out beautifully, and I love how classy the print looks in the frame. I would absolutely order another collage for myself and make one for my family and friends to give as a gift!

How it Works
The whole process from start to finish is pretty simple. There are three main customization steps—design, details, and format—that you’ll complete to create the final product. In the first step, you’ll choose the layout (how you want the text to look), the background color, outline color, and theme. The theme includes words like family, love, and travel, but you can choose any word you want, like your dog’s name.
The second step is where you’ll add a custom message and your dog’s photos. Positive Prints has pre-written messages to choose from, or you can come up with something on your own. After writing a message, you’ll upload a photo to each letter. You can edit and adjust the photos as needed by clicking on the preview image until the collage looks the way you want.
In the final step, you’ll choose the type of product you want (poster, frame, canvas, etc.) and the size. A preview of the print is available as you go, so you can try out different colors, messages, and styles to see which ones you like best.
Customization Options
This is where Positive Prints really shines and stands out from other brands because every detail, from the font color to the text placement, is chosen by you. Positive Prints gives you a blank canvas with all the right tools, and you design the frame exactly how you want. If you need help, there are templates you can use (or get inspiration from), but overall, they let you design a masterpiece that’s entirely your own.
User-friendly Design Tools
Designing artwork from scratch can feel daunting, especially if you don’t consider yourself to be crafty. But Positive Prints makes the customization process super easy. Each step is clearly outlined, and their online editor is compatible with desktop and mobile devices. They also have an interactive preview that lets you see the effect of your changes in real time, so you can test layouts, arrange photos, and play around with text and graphics before finalizing your order.

Is the Letter Photo Collage a Good Value?
I found the collage to be a great value. The price ranges anywhere from affordable to expensive, depending on the product type and size you choose, and the cost is on par with similar products on the market. You’re not charged for personalizations either, meaning there’s no extra cost for adding details like text, graphics, or photos. Best of all, the quality is amazing! This is a premium product that you’ll cherish for years to come, and the different styles allow you to create a heartfelt gift that’ll match your budget and your vision, no matter which print you choose.
How We Tested
After browsing through the different products on Positive Prints’ website and deciding on the Letter Photo Collage, I got started on the personalization steps. This was the fun part where I got to pick and choose different elements and upload Micah’s photos to the letters. Before starting, I didn’t have anything specific in mind, so I took my time trying out different layouts, words, and messages until I landed on something I loved.
Even though I liked the idea of having Micah’s name be the main word, I had a hard time finding photos that looked good in the letters. Because of this, I went with the word “love” and love how it turned out.
After placing the order, I received tracking info within a day, letting me know the print was in production. From there, I could track the progress of my order until the frame was delivered.
