Once upon a time, Ford and Chevrolet dueled on the streets of Detroit with full-size hot rod pickup trucks. Of course, we’re talking about the OG SVT F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet SS 454, the latter of which was succeeded in 2003 by the Silverado SS. And then came the Dodge Ram SRT-10, packing the Viper’s engine with a six-speed stick. It launched for 2004 and basically ran everyone else out of the segment. It went away in 2006, taking big street trucks with it.
