To coincide with the total lunar eclipse happening on March 3, Ram has unveiled special Lunar-themed versions of the 2500 Power Wagon and 2500 Rebel heavy-duty pickup trucks. It marks a return of lunar-themed Ram trucks, with the automaker introducing something similar for the same 2500 trims in 2024. As with those, the new Lunar Edition package adds space-inspired exterior and interior design elements, while retaining the rugged capability of these pickups.

Orders for the large Ram 2500 Lunar Edition pickups are set to open later in February. These pickups feature a Ceramic Grey Clear-Coat exterior with the lower body in Diamond Black Crystal Clear-Coat. Instead of the standard Satin Black grille, a color-matched grille is used. The exterior is further enhanced by Lunar Edition bodyside graphics and black-painted wheels; these measure 17 inches on the Power Wagon and 20 inches on the Rebel.
Moving inside, the pickups boast full-grain Natura Plus black leather bucket seats. These are embossed with either the Power Wagon or Rebel logos, depending on the trim. The generally dark theme is lifted by Copperhead Orange contrast stitching on the dashboard, instrument panel, seats, doors, and steering wheel. An alloy center console badge and an integrated heavy-duty lockable console safe from Mopar are other welcome additions.
Based on the Level 2 Equipment Group, these Lunar Edition pickups are well-equipped with amenities like power-adjustable pedals, rain-sensitive wipers, a 14.5-inch center touchscreen, and a 17-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The Power Wagon also gets Mopar accessory rock rails and a front-mounted WARN Zeon-12 winch.

The Ram 2500 Power Wagon is a truly rugged option, with hardware like front/rear locking differentials and a front disconnecting sway bar. It’s powered by the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with outputs of 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. This pickup has 33-inch off-road tires, a factory two-inch lift, and can tow up to 10,590 lbs.
If you need to tow more, the Rebel is the preferable option. Its 6.7-liter Cummins six-cylinder turbodiesel makes 430 hp and a mighty 1,075 lb-ft, allowing it to tow up to 19,890 lbs. 34-inch off-road tires, underbody skid plates, and a rear locking differential are part of the package, too.
“The 2500 Power Wagon and Rebel are already some of the hardest-working off-road rigs in the ¾-ton segment; the Lunar Edition treatment just makes them that much better with the popular content people love and the aggressive, customized look they want,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of American Brands, SRT Performance, NA Marketing and Retail Strategy.
Including destination, the Power Wagon Lunar Edition costs $86,385, while the Rebel Lunar Edition starts at $93,885. The Lunar Edition trimmings add $1,995 to the price of these pickups.

What It Means

While they don’t add any capability, the Ram 2500 Lunar Editions turn an already handsome pickup into an even more visually appealing beast. Expected to be offered in limited numbers, they’ll also stand out on the used market in a few years when it comes time to sell.
Special edition Ram pickups have always been popular, tracing their roots all the way back to the Dodge Warlock that arrived in 1976. Truck owners are known for appreciating a high level of customization, and the 2026 Lunar Editions aim to capitalize on that interest.
After reintroducing Hemi V8 power to the 1500, launching the full-size truck segment’s best warranty, and now introducing more expressive special editions, Ram is constantly keeping fans of the brand engaged. These strategies are particularly important, given that the current generation of Ram pickups were first introduced in 2019.
