Shopping center REIT Simon plans to redevelop the current Neiman Marcus space at Copley Place in Boston. Neiman Marcus owner Saks Global plans to close the Copley Place store, along with several Saks Off Fifth locations across Massachusetts. Closing dates have not been announced.
Simon said the multi-level redevelopment will bring a world-class roster of luxury retail brands and dining to Copley Place. These include restaurants Casa Tua Cucina and Estiatorio Milos, along with luxury boutiques to be announced at a later date.
“Copley Place has always been Boston’s most exclusive luxury destination, located in the heart of the thriving Back Bay,” said Mark Silvestri, president of development at Simon. “By introducing these globally recognized brands and iconic dining concepts, we’re taking an already exceptional experience to an entirely new level.”
Construction is expected to begin later this year with phased openings, including additional retail, dining and wellness concepts, in 2028.
