SparrowHawk has acquired a 100% leased, 764,735-square-foot warehouse building at 31450 W. 196th Street in Edgerton, Kansas. The building is located within Logistics Park KC, an industrial park with 17 multi-tenant buildings totaling approximately 10.8 million square feet of space.
Mark Long and John Hassler, SIOR, of Newmark Zimmer represented the seller, a development firm and its institutional capital partner, and SparrowHawk in the transaction. The deal marks the first acquisition since SparrowHawk secured $300 million in growth capital from Almanac Realty Investors.
“This acquisition signals SparrowHawk’s bullishness on the industrial market in the Midwest and its excitement to launch the investment of the growth capital commitment from Almanac Realty Investors,” said Jorge Cabrera, Vice President of Asset Management & Transactions, SparrowHawk.
Developed in 2016, the building is occupied by two tenants. Logistics Park KC is located north of I-35, 33 miles southwest of Kansas City and 24 miles southwest of Overland Park. Within 1.5 miles of the park is the BNSF gate.
