GM has been offering a hot-rodded version of its full-size SUVs in the form of the nearly 700-horsepower Cadillac Escalade-V since 2023. Somewhat surprisingly for an automaker that shares just about everything across multiple brands and models, GM hasn’t put the Escalade-V’s supercharged V8 in any other closely-related SUV or truck. Last week, a mix-up with vehicle documentation made it look like that might change, at least until GM clarified the issue. Still, it got some fans of the General talking, and maybe the automaker should make its mistake a reality.
