Tesla inaugurated the trend toward tech-forward, minimalist cabins. The brand moved many functions to the touchscreens, eliminating visual clutter and, perhaps more importantly, the cost of producing physical buttons and switches. That effort got a bit overzealous on the Model 3 and other vehicles when Tesla removed basic turn signal stalks in favor of touch controls.
