
- SRS Real Estate Partners has expanded its South Texas footprint with the opening of a new office in Brownsville, Texas. In conjunction with the office opening, Louie Tijerina has joined the firm as Vice President, Retail. Based in the new Brownsville office, Tijerina will focus on landlord and tenant representation throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
- Partners Real Estate promoted Kyle Kennan and Andrew Laycock to Partner. Both Mr. Kennan and Mr. Laycock were promoted to Senior Vice President just one year ago. Mr. Kennan has earned multiple notable recognitions, including the 2022 CoStar Lease of the Year for Austin and CoStar Power Broker honors in multiple quarters. Since joining the firm in Houston in 2020, Mr. Laycock earned the company’s 2022 Rookie of the Year award.
- Derek Lewis has rejoined Stream Realty Partners as Managing Director, based in Stream’s Austin office. Lewis will focus on advising office and industrial occupiers across Central Texas. Lewis returns to Stream after nearly a decade with Lincoln Property Company, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President. In that role, he led tenant representation initiatives while advising corporate clients on leasing, build-to-suit, purchase-and-sale, and sale-leaseback strategies.
-  JLL Capital Markets secured the sale and financing of the Northwest Houston Manufacturing Portfolio, a fully leased industrial manufacturing portfolio totaling 127,626 square feet in Houston. JLL represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer was MoxieBridge, for whom JLL arranged the loan through WaFd Bank.
- Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of a 69-room Comfort Inn hotel property in Sherman, Texas. Chris Gomes, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Dallas office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer.Â
